H Schiller, Utica, New York, 8 days, time and gong strike, spring driven movement in a black and red portoro marble case with bronze sphinxes reclining on top flanking a black marble urn with bronze head at apex and other fancy bronze trim, figures of Egyptian gods applied to front flanking a very unusual black marble dial with cut Eastern style numerals.
CONDITION:
this very unusual, heavy and attractive clock is in excellent original condtion with only a couple of small flakes in the marble top. The bronze is nicely patinated and the dial with its unusual markings is fascinating. The movement is fully wound and is neither ticking nor striking.
